Job Summary:
As a Pharmacy Technician Assistant at Price Chopper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the workflow, organization, and continuity of prescription processing. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the success of our pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and process pharmacy phone calls, identifying and retrieving medications accurately.
Process prescription refills using the ScriptPro workflow software, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to our stores.
Maintain the appearance of the pharmacy, including signage, vacuuming, and emptying trash, to ensure a clean and welcoming environment for our customers.
Perform maintenance on the ScriptPro automated dispensing system, ensuring it operates efficiently and effectively.
Fill ScriptPro cells under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, adhering to strict quality control standards.
Conduct accurate inventory cycle counts, checking in, sticker, and shelving daily orders, and ensuring accurate inventory levels and order points within the dispensing software.
Evaluate purchase orders for accuracy and completeness, ordering special items from McKesson Connect as needed.
Maintain supply levels, printing and processing manifests for store order shipping, and entering invoices and credits into the DSD log.
Requirements:
Minimum of 18 years of age, with a friendly, helpful, and outstanding attitude.
Superior customer service skills, with the ability to multitask and problem-solve effectively.
Proficient in math calculations, with basic knowledge of mechanics and strong organizational skills.
Proficiency with Windows-based computers, MS Outlook/Email, Excel, and Internet Explorer, with effective communication skills with the Pharmacy Team and customers.
Knowledge of medication types and terms, as well as state laws and regulations pertaining to pharmacy.
Successful completion of Shared Services Pharmacy Technician Training, with a High School Diploma or GED, and 1 year of previous experience in a community pharmacy.
