Position Overview:
The role of the Quality Control Chemist involves conducting thorough Quality Control assessments in alignment with established company protocols. This includes adherence to specifications, testing methodologies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and regulatory guidelines to ensure timely support for production activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute analytical evaluations in accordance with company specifications and regulatory standards, ensuring compliance with cGMP, cGLP, and cGDP regulations.
- Demonstrate proficiency in instrumental analysis using techniques such as HPLC, Atomic Absorption, Flame Photometry, ICP-MS, and Polarimetry.
- Compile and deliver precise and timely analytical reports for all laboratory activities.
- Prepare and standardize laboratory solutions as required.
- Maintain exemplary laboratory housekeeping practices as per established guidelines.
- Conduct analytical testing and the release of raw materials and packaging components as necessary.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while performing all assigned tasks.
- Analyze complaint and stability samples promptly, reporting any quality concerns to the lab management.
- Ensure that all analytical results are presented accurately and clearly.
Language Proficiency:
- Ability to read and comprehend English and Spanish.
Regulatory Knowledge:
- Fundamental understanding of cGMP practices.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in computer applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with laboratory data management systems such as Empower, Mass Hunter, and LIMS.
- Capable of operating various laboratory testing instruments.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Adept at interpreting and converting various units of measurement.
- Strong mathematical skills for calculations and data analysis.
- Ability to follow detailed written procedures and verbal instructions.
- Potential for a temp-to-hire opportunity based on performance.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry is mandatory.
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years in a professional analytical chemistry role is required.
