We are seeking a compassionate and skilled PRN Occupational Therapist to assist individuals facing a range of physical, mental, or developmental challenges in enhancing their daily living and occupational skills. This role involves delivering personalized and client-centered services aimed at empowering individuals to perform their daily tasks and activities with confidence and independence. The ideal candidate should have a comprehensive perspective and the capability to adapt environments to meet individual needs.

Position Overview

As an Occupational Therapist, you will be instrumental in supporting individuals to improve their overall health and quality of life through occupation-based interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Address various dimensions of the client's performance to foster engagement in activities that enhance health, well-being, and overall quality of life.
  • Employ suitable occupational therapy treatment models, methods, and strategies tailored to each individual's specific requirements.
  • Implement interventions to improve safety and effectiveness in daily living and instrumental activities.
  • Guide clients in innovative task approaches and assist them in deconstructing activities into manageable components.
  • Assess clients' living environments and recommend modifications to suit their needs and capabilities.
  • Advise on adaptive equipment and provide training on its effective use.
  • Educate and support family members and caregivers in the therapeutic process.
  • Monitor, document, and report on progress towards both long-term and short-term treatment goals.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and collect pertinent data.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with clients to ensure ongoing care continuity.
Required Skills
  • Proven experience as an occupational therapist.
  • Thorough understanding of occupational therapy principles and methodologies.
  • Proficient in using computer applications and multimedia tools.
  • Familiarity with assessment tools for evaluating daily living activities (e.g., Katz ADL scale, Lawton IADL scale).
  • Ability to effectively engage with patients of diverse personalities.
  • Current knowledge of treatment methodologies in the field and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Exemplary professional demeanor.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Valid occupational therapy license.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in occupational therapy.
