Job Title:
IT Infrastructure Specialist

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the IT Systems Engineering Manager, the IT Infrastructure Specialist supports the County's physical and virtual infrastructure, server applications, databases, and security administration. The Specialist performs analysis, implementation, support, maintenance, and monitoring of these systems while following County standards. This role also provides project management for small to mid-size projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and support Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, Domains, Domain Schemas, Domain Name Systems (DNS), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and Security Policy Configurations.
  • Configure, support, and secure Microsoft Server Operating Systems (2012, 2016, 2019) and SQL Server (2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, or 2019).
  • Support and secure virtualization technologies and configurations using VMware or Citrix.
  • Work with network storage (SAN, NAS, Backup, etc.).
  • Support Microsoft Exchange.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and provide exceptional customer-facing skills.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information.
