About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Community-Based Clinical Services Coordinator to join our team at the State of South Carolina, Department of Mental Health. This role offers a unique chance to work collaboratively with law enforcement officials, community agencies, and individuals to provide comprehensive mental health services.

In this position, you will conduct mental health screenings and assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and coordinate referrals to community resources. You will also provide education and training on mental health topics and maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and treatment progress.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct mental health screenings and assessments in partnership with law enforcement officials.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address specific needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with community agencies to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Provide education and training on mental health topics to community members, law enforcement personnel, and other professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and treatment progress.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in guidance, counseling, social sciences, or related field.
  • Licensed therapist in the State of South Carolina through LLR (Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist).
  • One year of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with mental health concerns.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
