Accounting Supervisor

Empire Technological Group Limited is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for overseeing the accurate processing of financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and leading the month-end and year-end close processes.
Responsibilities:- Oversee the processing of journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other general accounts.
- Monitor and ensure the proper classification of financial transactions and general ledger accounts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards in day-to-day operations.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of accounts, and variance analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of any discrepancies.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal accounting policies, ensuring accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare and review financial reports for internal management and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support external audit requests as necessary.
- Maintain and enforce internal control procedures to safeguard the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.
- Ensure all accounting processes are well-documented and up-to-date.
- Collaborate with other departments such as FP&A, HR, and Operations to ensure proper financial reporting and support of company initiatives.
- Provide support for special projects, including system implementations and process improvements.
- Supervise a team of accountants, ensuring proper training, workload management, and performance evaluations.
- Provide day-to-day guidance and support to the accounting team on all aspects of general accounting activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 1-3 years in a supervisory role managing people and projects.
- Corporate accounting environment experience ideally for a global company and/or gaming industry.
- Strong experience with AR, Revenue, AP, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
