We are seeking a highly skilled Product Security Lead to join our team at Cox Communications. As a key member of our Product Security team, you will be responsible for driving the next evolution in securing our mobile products and protecting our customers from cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities- Provide thought leadership and strategic direction for the security of our mobile product development lifecycle.
- Support various development teams in implementing a risk-centric approach to security.
- Provide security consulting and guidance to ensure the secure development of our mobile products.
- Support the release of Cox mobile products while following our product security program.
- Collaborate with product development teams and cybersecurity experts to achieve a high level of cybersecurity quality.
- Institutionalize secure product lifecycle practices and identify and quantify cyber risk within our products.
- Engage with other information security teams to create action plans based on the results of product security reviews.
- Maintain relationships with technical product security testing teams and provide insights into the maintenance of product security procedures, directives, and technology controls.
- Drive the integration of Product Security Program initiatives into relevant stages of the product development lifecycle.
- Ensure information security artifacts align with industry standards or regulatory requirements.
- Provide guidance on prioritizing cyber-risk remediation and mitigation activities.
- Support efforts to maintain and report product security metrics throughout the development life cycle.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field, plus 6 years of relevant working experience.
- 4+ years of experience with information security controls or security risk management.
- 2+ years of experience in product development or product lifecycle management.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate highly technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong knowledge of Mobile security for Android or iOS operating systems.
- Strong knowledge across the technology stack, including web protocols, multiple operating systems, hypervisors, and distributed systems architecture.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Experience with network or mobile security.
- Experience conducting security product reviews.
- Experience creating executive-level presentations.
- Experience with both automated and manual secure code reviews.
- Understanding of 'secure by design' principles and secure development.
- Knowledge of current cybersecurity trends and remediation or mitigation approaches.
- Certification related to information security and privacy (CSSLP, CISSP, etc.).
The base salary for this role is $106,700.00 - $177,900.00 per year. Compensation may vary based on factors such as location and candidate qualifications. Additional compensation may be available through an incentive program. Cox Communications offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement planning, and paid time off.
