Job Description

Elwyn is seeking an Intake Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for families whose children are entering preschool early intervention in the City of Philadelphia. This role responds to and supports families and service providers upon their initial call into Elwyn preschool early intervention's (EI) main Intake and Transition telephone lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer calls via the preschool EI intake and transition lines in a call center environment
  • Provide information to callers regarding early intervention and the intake referral process
  • Utilize knowledge of the early intervention process and regulations to appropriately respond to incoming phone calls
  • Collect, enter into, and manage client data using CRM system (Sprout)
  • Process referrals adhering to established policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, human services or related field preferred
  • Two (2) years' experience in concierge-level customer service dealing with the public via telephone or face-to-face contact
  • Non-profit human service experience highly preferred
  • Excellent customer interaction, collaboration, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills
