Job Summary

PrimeCare Medical, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Professional to join our team at the Washington County Detention Center in Hagerstown, MD. As a Behavioral Health Professional, you will be responsible for providing clinical monitoring, coordination, and implementation of the mental health program in accordance with NCCHC standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments based on referrals and self-referrals, including documentation of findings, diagnosis, and treatment plan.
  • Perform risk assessments using structured interviews and risk assessment tools, and manage inmates at risk for suicide and/or engaging in self-harm according to existing protocols.
  • Serve as the mental health liaison for mental health services outside the facility, facilitating admission and placement of inmates/patients to forensic hospitals when necessary.
  • Monitor all mental health services provided and ensure that standards of care are in accordance with NCCHC and accepted psychiatric/psychological standards.
  • Develop and conduct in-service education programs according to the annual in-service calendar.
  • Collect data and prepare monthly reports reflecting performance.
Requirements
  • Must be licensed as a LGPC, LCPC, LMSW, LCSW, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland.
  • Must hold a master's degree or greater in Social Work, Psychology, or related Human Service field with a concentration in clinical course work, training, and/or experience.
  • Minimum of two years of experience, with experience in substance abuse/MAT (medicated assisted treatment) preferred.
