About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Purchasing Inventory Clerk to join our team at Lake of the Torches Resort Casino.

Job Description

This position is responsible for performing all activities related to procurement and inventory management, ensuring that food and beverage departments have the necessary supplies to operate efficiently. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of purchasing software applications, internal and external.
  • Providing weekly inventories and standard par levels reports for food and beverage departments, along with current pricing information.
  • Performing stocking, rotating, and organizing food and beverage storerooms, refrigerators, and freezers.
  • Identifying potential vendors, comparing products and costs, and making recommendations to department managers for procurement needs.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and troubleshoot. A high school education or equivalent is required, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in food and beverage/restaurant operations. Experience with ordering and inventory software is preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with vendors, leadership, and peers.
  • Proficient in spreadsheets, reports, and internet searches for researching products and suppliers.
  • Able to understand and work with detailed financial information and basic math functions.
Working Environment

The majority of position responsibilities are performed within the Eagle's Nest kitchen and office environment. Exposure to hazards includes low-to-moderate noise levels, moderate-to-loud noise levels, and differential temperatures. Physical requirements include the ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, or lift objects weighing up to 80 pounds.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. Benefits include competitive pay, comprehensive health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
