Position Overview

Job Title: Music Educator

Reports to: General Manager/Music Director

Role Summary: The Music Educator is responsible for guiding students through their musical journey, fostering a supportive and engaging environment that encourages creativity and skill development. The instructor will ensure that each student receives a comprehensive and enriching educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Music Instruction: Deliver high-quality music lessons that encompass both private sessions and group performances.
  • Ensure students grasp fundamental music concepts beyond just playing songs.
  • Develop and maintain detailed lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.

Customer Engagement:

  • Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress.
  • Be approachable and available to students and parents within the educational setting.
  • Assist with program execution during lesson cancellations.
  • Participate in rehearsals and contribute to the overall maintenance of the facility.
  • Adhere to company policies and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in music education or performance.
  • Strong understanding of music theory and curriculum development.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively engage with a diverse clientele.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in building and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Resourceful problem-solver capable of thriving in high-pressure situations.
  • Ideal candidates are active musicians with formal training in music education.
  • Possess a positive, enthusiastic, and patient attitude.
  • Sound judgment and a genuine passion for teaching are essential.
