Supply Chain Procurement Analyst

The Procurement Specialist plays a crucial role in optimizing the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for plant acquisitions, directly influencing our competitive edge. This position is essential for fostering a collaborative environment between procurement and plant teams, focusing on projects that aim to enhance the efficiency of plant purchases.

• Proactively gather and assess future requirements for goods and services.
• Develop Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Proposals (RFP), and Requests for Quotations (RFQ) for both new and existing products.
• Coordinate and oversee supplier visits to the facility, contributing to the preparation of proposals for capital expenditure and maintenance initiatives.
• Negotiate purchases for low-value expenditures at the plant level while exploring alternative local suppliers and options.
• Establish strong partnerships with Accounts Payable, Purchasing Operations, and Master Data Management teams.
• Act as a liaison for the plant in addressing any project-related issues, serving as the first point of escalation with suppliers.
• Support the execution of procurement strategies by ensuring the effective use of preferred suppliers.
• Align stakeholders and secure necessary internal support for successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• A comprehensive understanding of financial metrics and the ability to leverage quantitative analysis for strategic decision-making.
• Strong project management capabilities to ensure compliance with project and program requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with internal clients and suppliers.
• A proactive approach to resolving vendor and internal customer issues, utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with SAP systems.
• Proficient analytical skills and experience with Microsoft Excel.

• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
• 3-5 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing context.
• 1-2 years of experience in negotiations and independently managing purchasing activities.
• Experience in procurement negotiations, RFQs, and basic sourcing analysis.

O-I provides a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $85,000, along with a potential quarterly incentive bonus of 12%. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
