Position Summary:

We are in search of a meticulous Purchasing Coordinator to oversee the procurement and logistics of electrical supplies, tools, and equipment. The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational capabilities, relevant purchasing experience, and familiarity with the electrical construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the procurement process for all electrical supplies.
• Maintain an organized supplier database and purchase documentation.
• Formulate and execute effective purchasing strategies.
• Negotiate pricing to secure optimal value for products and services.
• Research and identify top-quality equipment, tools, materials, and subcontractors.
• Oversee shipping and receiving operations, ensuring packages are inspected for damage.
• Input received materials into ERP systems and monitor overdue supplier purchase orders.
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and field personnel.
• Organize warehouse materials and manage the tool inventory.
• Coordinate with vendors for return authorizations and oversee tool tracking systems.
• Inspect tools and equipment for operational efficiency and ensure proper maintenance.
• Drive company vehicles for the delivery and collection of materials and tools as necessary.
• Assist with facility maintenance and ensure regular inspections and servicing of company vehicles.
• Track material costs and manage project expenditure coding.
• Collaborate with Operations to ensure procured items adhere to quality standards.
• Monitor inventory levels to avert shortages or excess supplies.
• Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role.
• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Capability to lift and transport objects weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Positive customer service orientation; experience in electrical and lighting sectors is advantageous.
