Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Process Compliance Auditor to join our team at Jefferson Wells International. Key Responsibilities
  • Financial and Operational Audits: Perform financial and operational audits of organizational and functional activities to ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
  • Compliance Expertise: Possess vast knowledge of PCAOB and new regulations, and ensure compliance with plans, policies, and procedures prescribed by management.
  • Control Evaluation: Identify controls and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of controls and review related internal control documentation.
  • Assistance to External Auditors: Assist external auditors in performing and documenting walkthroughs of major accounting process cycles.
  • Test of Key Controls: Perform test of key controls to ensure implementation and effectiveness and propose remediation.
  • Asset Security: Ensure proper accountability and physical security of company assets.
  • Program Design: Design specific programs for the audit of selected operating, compliance, and financial units and assist in establishing the scope of each audit.
  • Audit Reporting: Prepare audit work papers and write audit reports detailing the audit findings and recommendations.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in public accounting (Big 4, a plus), financial analysis, or private accounting experience in auditing, with a focus on SOX compliance, internal controls, and financial processes.
  • SOX Compliance: Sarbanes-Oxley compliance experience required with external audit experience.
  • Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) is preferred.
  • Skills: Proficient in audit methodologies, risk assessment, and control testing. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
