Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the supervision of licensed Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants to provide patient care and support.
  • Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment.
  • Administer IV starts and blood draws, as permitted by state law, to provide essential medical care.
  • Apply splints and provide wound care to promote patient recovery and comfort.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain point-of-care laboratory equipment to ensure accurate test results.
  • Perform EKGs to diagnose and monitor cardiac conditions.
  • Assist Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants in the daily functions of a mobile care delivery emergency unit.
  • Document patient information and medical history to ensure accurate and efficient care.
  • Manage and maintain medical supplies and equipment to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Medical Technician with IV Certification, including Basic Certification with WA, EMT License (hiring credential only).
  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree in a core science or lab science and a minimum of 2 years' experience in chemistry and hematology, especially with experience using an i-STAT device, are encouraged to apply.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • BLS, American Heart Association certification.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs easily.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
