Job Summary

The University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). As a critical care specialist, you will provide high-intensity care to critically ill newborns, utilizing evidence-based interventions and current best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily patient management, leadership, and resource support for the provider team
  • Collaborate with attending physicians to develop medical plans and make decisions
  • Function as an educational resource for nursing, medical staff, and families
  • Participate in professional practice activities, including schedule accommodations and negotiations
Requirements
  • Completed an accredited Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) Master's or Doctorate program
  • NCC (National Certification Corporation) certification required
  • Solid clinical experience, excellent communication skills, and ability to work with a multidisciplinary team
  • Maryland licensure required
  • Minimum of three (3) years of neonatal nursing experience for NNP candidates, with transport experience preferred
