Anesthesia Support Specialist

Position Overview:
This role involves rotating weekend and holiday on-call duties. There may be occasional shifts to daytime hours as required.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Anesthesia Technician is an integral part of the Anesthesia team, possessing a solid understanding of hospital ethics and protocols relevant to the position.
The technician assists Anesthesiologists and Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations to promote optimal patient care. Adherence to Standard Precautions is mandatory at all times.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Preferred familiarity with anesthesia supplies, terminology, and equipment. A minimum of 6 months of experience in an Operating Room, patient care, or Central Sterilization is required.
Strong organizational skills and a good understanding of inventory management and supply ordering processes are essential.
Education and Training:
A High School diploma or equivalent is required. Additional coursework in medical/surgical terminology is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
CPR certification is required.
ASATT certification is preferred.
Additional Requirements:
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with others, showcasing excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to customer service in all work-related activities.
Proven reliability in maintaining a consistent work schedule is essential.
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with multiple requests for assistance is crucial.
Capability to perform well under emergency clinical conditions is necessary.
Flexibility to meet the diverse needs of various practitioners is expected.
Key Equipment:
Experience with stretchers, anesthesia machines, positioning devices, anesthesia medications, OR tables, IV solutions and equipment, cleaning equipment, infusion pumps, patient monitors, sterilizers, regional anesthesia equipment, airway equipment, and accu-check machines is beneficial.
