Healthcare Support Specialist

Job Summary:
The Healthcare Support Specialist functions in a complimentary or assistive role under the direct supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse and Licensed Practical Nurse at Berkshire Health Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides direct patient care and carries out individual duties on select patients in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Assists in maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Patient care experience preferred.
- CPR certification preferred or obtained during orientation.
- Ability to follow guidelines, protocols, and policies specific to each unit and the institution.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:
The Healthcare Support Specialist works in a fast-paced healthcare environment and must be able to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in stressful situations.
