About the Role

IBM is seeking a highly skilled Data Security Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our consulting team, you will work closely with clients to deliver deep technical and industry expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your primary responsibility will be to manage all activities related to delivering a security-led Data Security solution, including consulting, leadership, and solution creation. You will work closely with clients to understand their Data Security posture, drivers, and appetite, and provide visibility into functional and non-functional requirements of the solution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all activities related to delivering a security-led Data Security solution
  • Consult with clients to understand their Data Security posture, drivers, and appetite
  • Provide visibility into functional and non-functional requirements of the solution
  • Assist client-facing colleagues with responding to requests for proposals
  • Develop and deliver Data Security solutions in complex multi-technology environments

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years' experience as a Data Security Consultant
  • Hands-on implementation capabilities in at least three of the following Data Security domains: Data Classification/Labelling, Data Loss Prevention, Digital Rights Management, Database Activity Monitoring, Certificate Lifecycle Management, Encryption, Data Masking/Tokenization
  • Experience in driving Data Security strategy discussions with C-level executives
  • Well-versed with Data Security capabilities on Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.)
  • Ability to perform requirement gathering, definition, and refinement while ensuring traceability throughout the lifecycle of delivery

Preferred Requirements:

  • Recognized certification in security (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security +, ITIL qualification)
  • Experience in the Microsoft/Azure suite of Data Security solutions
  • Experience working with Data Security Technologies (e.g., MS Azure Labelling, MS Azure DLP, Guardium DAM & Encryption)
