About the Role

Zap Energy is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Program Manager to lead our fusion energy program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of our fusion technology, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Planning and Execution: Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and schedules to ensure successful delivery of our fusion energy program.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians to achieve program objectives.
  • Resource Allocation: Manage resource allocation and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient use of company resources.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Communicate program status, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement new processes and tools to improve program execution and delivery.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in a professional setting, with 6+ years of experience developing new products in a commercial setting.
  • Skills: Strong project management skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with scheduling software, such as MS Project or Primavera P6, and a strong understanding of fusion energy technology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree: Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or a technical field.
  • Project Management Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience leading teams and developing an inclusive culture.
