We are currently seeking Travel Coordination Specialists to support the Intelligence community.
- Travel Coordinators will act as the primary Point of Contact for organizing travel for the approximately 2,500 personnel and contractor staff.
- The travel workload varies throughout the year, but typically, the team will manage travel arrangements for several travelers weekly (averaging 8-12 per Coordinator when fully staffed).
- Travel requirements include both CONUS and OCONUS, with a significant emphasis on challenging destinations, necessitating close collaboration with the Sponsor Air Support team.
- While the average travel requirements are straightforward, they still demand meticulous attention to detail.
- Travel for senior personnel can become quite intricate due to the numerous locations involved within a short timeframe.
- Coordinators will facilitate travel arrangements using specialized identity procedures as required.
- They will be responsible for collecting necessary information from the respective Sponsor offices regarding travelers' medical clearances, training certifications, and qualifications.
- The support provided by Travel Coordinators concludes upon the traveler's return to their home location, although they can offer guidance on travel accounting; they will not draft, review, coordinate, or approve travel accounting.
- Travel Coordinators will manage and execute comprehensive travel arrangements for all staff and contractors assigned to the mission or traveling for mission-related needs.
- They will periodically compile and present metrics to management concerning travel statistics (e.g., average processing time, number of trips arranged, etc.) as required.
- Coordinators must review and verify all travel arrangements and documentation for completeness and accuracy.
Required Qualifications:
- Clearance: TS/SCI with FS Poly
- Travel Coordinators will not be expected to travel in this role.
