Payload Coordinator

Job Summary

Aerospace company AEVEX Aerospace is seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Payload Specialist. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a fundamental understanding of government contract structure.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to aid in the generation of system requirements and associated support documentation.
• Manage contract details for the office, including funding and value mods.
• Independently prioritize mission needs and workload, understanding where authority lies in given scenarios when working with various government and industry stakeholders.
• Monitor task execution and completion, providing input and assistance in preparing project briefs, composing project reports and documents, and other project-related materials.
• Assemble acquisition documents for purchase request packages.
• Assist in portfolio, program, and project planning and control, including technical performance, schedules, and government-assigned action items.
• Support travel to CONUS-based contractor and test facilities for programmatic reviews, technical exchanges, and system testing.

Requirements

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Fundamental understanding of government contract structure.
• Engineering or other technical background and experience with complex, technical, airborne ISR collection platforms.
• Ability to travel locally, CONUS, and OCONUS.
