Job Overview

The Facilities Chief Engineer will be responsible for supervising and executing technical and mechanical tasks at CUSA, LLC. This role is essential in managing the maintenance department for a select service hotel, ensuring that all aspects of the property, including rooms, grounds, and amenities, adhere to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the maintenance of the facility and the maintenance team, ensuring that work orders are fulfilled and routine maintenance is performed by identifying issues and executing repairs in line with established protocols and safety regulations.
  • Oversee the preventative maintenance of guest rooms and the preparation of vacant rooms for occupancy.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards and budgetary constraints set forth by the organization.
  • Identify and schedule capital improvement needs while executing monthly preventative maintenance tasks as detailed in the operational manual.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings, maintain current MSDS documentation, and stay informed on OSHA regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in basic computer applications, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Preferred experience in hotel or apartment maintenance and familiarity with electronic locking systems.
  • Possess general knowledge and hands-on experience with HVAC systems, electrical work, plumbing, appliance repairs, and basic carpentry.
  • Understand pool chemical maintenance and equipment upkeep.
  • Availability for on-call duties is required.
