The Patient Access Rep II plays a vital role in ensuring a seamless patient experience at Sentara Healthcare. As the first point of contact for patients, this role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Verify patient identity and select the correct patient record
- Review schedules and physician orders to register patients for the appropriate service
- Scan important documents, such as insurance cards and ID's, and verify demographic and insurance information
- Explain and complete complex regulatory and compliance documents
- Collect co-payments, deposits, and outstanding balances
- Two years of customer service and/or data entry experience
- Six months of previous healthcare experience in a related area
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree can be considered in lieu of two years of experience
