Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Intermediate Care Unit team at Alaska Regional Hospital. As a highly respected healthcare provider, we offer a dynamic and supportive work environment that prioritizes patient care and satisfaction.

Our state-of-the-art facility offers 250 beds and provides a range of medical services, including heart attack treatment and colorectal surgery.

Your Role:
  • You will prioritize nursing care for assigned patients based on assessment data and identifies needs for intervention.
  • Demonstrate appropriate decision making, critical thinking and clinical judgment to make nursing decisions and identify health care needs.
  • Evaluate and document each patient's response to medications, interventions, and procedures.
  • Assist in the formulation, coordination, and implementation of the patient's Plan of Care based on the assessment of their individual needs.
Requirements:
  • Current Alaska nursing license in good standing.
  • Associate's Degree in nursing required, Bachelor's preferred.
  • One-year IMCU experience required; Two years preferred; PCCN preferred.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS).
Compensation and Benefits:
