Job Title: Electrical Product Engineer

Join our team of innovative engineers at Standex International Corporation, a global leader in the design, development, and manufacture of standard reed switch-based sensor solutions and custom electro-magnetic components.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Product Engineer to join our team in Fairfield, OH. As a key member of our sensors, switches, and relays product engineering team, you will be responsible for the electronic design and development of magnetic sensors, including sensor and circuit board design, and tooling specification to support new and sustaining engineering efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design electronic sensor components and finished assemblies, including PCB and electrical circuits in support of new product development, and sustaining engineering product efforts.
  • Build product-specific expertise and contribute to new and existing product lines.
  • Scope projects and plan resources needed for development of customer-designed products.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and Standex teams to design products for optimized manufacturability.
  • Technical interface to both the Development Group (Customer) and the Production Group to provide optimized technical solutions.
Requirements:
  • BS in Electrical Engineering
  • 4-6 years working in design and manufacturing with a background of exposure to cost avoidance and lean activities/principles
  • 1+ year experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Manufacturing engineering experience with knowledge of automated assembly processes, testing, and tooling experience
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proven ability to read and interpret customer specifications and industry standards.
