Summary Description:


ZOLL LifeVest, the manufacturer of the innovative LifeVest wearable defibrillator, is in search of a Patient Service Representative to work as an independent contractor. This role involves training patients on the effective use of the LifeVest.

The LifeVest is designed for individuals at risk of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), offering essential protection during their fluctuating health conditions.

Its lightweight design ensures that patients can engage in their daily activities while feeling secure against SCA.

This position is ideal for healthcare professionals with experience in patient care and education who are looking to enhance their income.

A typical LifeVest patient is often in a healthcare facility awaiting discharge, and the PSR is responsible for setting up the device and instructing both the patient and their caregivers on its operation.

Additionally, PSRs provide follow-up support to ensure patient comprehension and satisfaction. They have the flexibility to accept or decline assignments based on their availability, with most tasks being scheduled during convenient times such as before or after regular work hours, or on days off.

Responsibilities:


- Manage inventory of equipment and garments
- Communicate with caregivers and family members to arrange fittings
- Be available for evening and weekend appointments
- Travel to patients' residences for fittings or follow-up visits
- Disclose any familial relationships with potential referral sources
- Program equipment according to the orders from the prescribing physician
- Measure patients to determine the appropriate garment size
- Educate patients and caregivers on the use of the LifeVest
- Ensure patients sign a Patient Agreement and WEAR Checklist
- Fax the signed Patient Agreement and WEAR Checklist to ZOLL within 24 hours of the assignment

Qualifications:


- Minimum of 1 year of professional patient care experience
- Documented patient care experience on resume
- Disclosure of personal NPI number (if applicable)
- Valid driver's license and car insurance
- Willingness to cover costs for additional training and vendor credentials (i.e., DME/RepTrax), fees not covered by ZOLL.
