Sun River Health is seeking a skilled Pediatrician to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Pediatrician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to infants, children, and adolescents.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose and treat patients with various medical conditions, including illnesses and injuries.
- Collaborate with nurse practitioners and physician's assistants to provide comprehensive care.
- Participate in planning and developing health care services to meet the needs of our patients.
- Referral and follow-up of patients as needed.
- Participate in after-hours coverage to ensure 24-hour availability of care.
- Takes histories, performs physical examinations, and prescribes treatment and medication for conditions falling in the scope of his/her specialty.
- Provides off-hours and hospital coverage for Health Center patients where contractually obligated to do so.
- Designs and participates in quality improvement activities, including Medical Record Peer Review, performance and procedure audits, outcome audits, and focused reviews.
- Provides supervision for clinical activities of medical providers and medical documentation in his/her department.
- Coordinates tests, referrals, and care of SRH patients outside the Health Center.
- Sets standards for preventive care and diagnostic screening within his/her specialty.
- Maintains legible and appropriate documentation of medical records.
- Participates and attends provider meetings.
- Provides safe and successful performance, including meeting productivity, quality, and patient satisfaction standards.
- Doctorate Degree M.D. or D.O.
- Valid License to practice medicine in New York State
- Board Certified or Eligible
