Pharmacy Resident

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Resident to join our team at Ochsner Health System. As a Pharmacy Resident, you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical practice skills in a specialized area of pharmacy practice.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in multidisciplinary patient care rounds and teaching conferences to develop knowledge of the medication use process.
- Develop and implement drug use policies and basic management skills.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals through writing assignments, presentations, and day-to-day interactions.
- Assess and care for patients, manage medication therapy, and comply with regulatory guidelines.
- Develop professional skills, complete job assignments and projects, and maintain residency documentation.
- Graduate of an accredited College/School of Pharmacy.
- Completion of ASHP accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency.
- License to practice pharmacy in the State of practice.
- Strong computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.

Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Mechanical lifting devices (carts, dollies, etc.) or team lifts should be utilized.
Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
Must be able to move throughout the department, the hospital, and between off-campus sites.
