Pharmacy Resident

Ochsner Health is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Resident to join our team. As a Pharmacy Resident, you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical practice skills in a specialized area of pharmacy practice.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and care for patients in a multidisciplinary setting
- Manage medication therapy and develop knowledge of the medication use process
- Comply with regulatory guidelines and ensure adherence to accreditation standards
- Develop professional skills through writing assignments, presentations, and day-to-day interactions with healthcare professionals
- Complete job assignments and projects, and maintain residency documentation
- Graduate of an accredited College/School of Pharmacy
- Completion of ASHP accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency
- License to practice pharmacy in the State of practice
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective verbal and written communication skills
The Pharmacy Resident will work in a fast-paced environment with moderate to high levels of stress. The incumbent will be required to stand for prolonged periods of time and move throughout the department, hospital, and between off-campus sites.
