Electrical Estimator

Trotter Workforce is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing estimates for electrical construction projects, reviewing proposal documents, and evaluating potential cost savings opportunities.

• Prepare detailed estimates for electrical construction projects, including material and equipment costs.
• Review proposal documents, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Evaluate potential areas for cost savings and develop strategies to reduce costs.
• Participate in pre-construction interviews and scope reviews with clients to ensure project requirements are met.
• Prepare and submit proposals, including detailed listings of material and equipment items, and negotiate project terms.
• Track project costs and ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Ensure quality control throughout the project and identify opportunities for process improvements.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimating or managing electrical construction projects.
• Experience estimating electrical construction projects up to $10 million.
• Proficiency in electrical bidding software (EBM) and PDF viewers, with CAD experience a plus.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Degree in engineering or construction management a plus.
• Ability to work in a team environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and work under time pressure.
