Position Overview
As a Surety Underwriting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the evaluation and processing of surety bond applications. Your expertise will contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our underwriting team.

Key Responsibilities
1. **Evaluate and Process Submissions**
- Review and assess new and renewal bond applications.
- Ensure all necessary documentation is collected and verified.

2. **Agency Communication**
- Liaise with agents to obtain required information and clarify any queries.
- Maintain professional relationships with agency partners.

3. **Underwriting and Bond Management**
- Underwrite and process various types of bonds, including contract, miscellaneous, and license and permit bonds.
- Keep detailed records of client bonding activities and maintain spreadsheets.

4. **Data Management**
- Perform data entry and invoicing tasks using the EPIC system.
- Organize and maintain client files in compliance with established office protocols.

5. **Research and Support**
- Conduct research to address bond form inquiries and collaborate with underwriters or team leads as needed.
- Serve as a resource for team members and assist with processing tasks.

6. **Project Management**
- Manage special projects and assignments as required.

Qualifications
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in surety or bond-related roles.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Service-oriented mindset with the capacity to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work onsite as required.
