Position – Automation Specialist

Employment Type – Permanent

Salary Range – $75,000 - $85,000 annually

Premier Group Recruitment is seeking a skilled Automation Specialist to enhance our client's team, a leading systems integration firm dedicated to providing cutting-edge automation and control solutions across various manufacturing sectors.

The successful candidate will possess practical experience in the setup, upkeep, and troubleshooting of automation systems, with a primary emphasis on maximizing the efficiency of automated production lines.

Key Responsibilities of the Automation Specialist include:

  • Installation, maintenance, and repair of automated machinery and control systems.
  • Performing regular inspections and preventive maintenance on automation systems.
  • Diagnosing and resolving issues related to PLCs, sensors, actuators, and other control components.
  • Working collaboratively with engineering teams to implement enhancements and upgrades.
  • Calibrating and adjusting automation systems to align with operational specifications.
  • Monitoring system performance and making necessary adjustments to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and company standards.
  • Providing technical support and training to production personnel on automated systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in automation or industrial maintenance within a manufacturing context.
  • Expertise in PLC troubleshooting (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems in automated machinery.
  • Experience with HMI systems, robotics, and other automation technologies.
  • Proven track record in the installation and commissioning of I/O in new manufacturing setups.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
