About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist to join our team at Medtronic. As a Clinical Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the Neuromodulation Pain and Target Drug Delivery Therapies in the areas of surgical coverage, follow-up support, troubleshooting, customer service, and education.

Responsibilities
  • Represent Medtronic during surgical procedures by ensuring access to necessary equipment and products.
  • Manage patients through all phases of the clinical process and educate them on Medtronic products.
  • Provide clinical support in surgeries, re-programmings, trouble-shooting, and follow-ups in hospitals and clinics.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to technical inquiries from customers, patients, and colleagues.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of competitive products.
  • Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel, and office staff on technical matters related to Medtronic products and therapies.
  • Assist in the education and training of new employees in the district.
  • Comply with required event reporting and documentation using Medtronic technology tools.
  • Accountable for placing orders with customer service for pending purchase orders and product replacement.
  • Responsible for managing inventory provided for case coverage, including timely transactions, maintaining cycle count accuracy, and executing product retrievals.
  • Contribute to the achievement of quarterly goals associated with specific initiatives at the district, regional, and national levels.
  • Partner with sales representatives to achieve business goals set forth within the territory and district.
  • Visit accounts to replenish literature and establish/maintain relationships with office staff.
  • Mentor Associate Clinical Specialists.
Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 years of clinical or medical sales experience.
  • An Associate's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of clinical or medical sales experience.
  • A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of clinical or medical sales experience.
  • Nice to Have: Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field, Master's degree, Registered nurse or HCP with experience in a sterile environment, Clinical experience with implantable neurological products and patient care, Experience in servicing medical personnel on product use, Experience with a medical device company or pharmaceutical company, and clinical experience in a specialty area.

Salary ranges for U.S. (excl. PR) locations (USD): $68,000.00 - $100,000.00

The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location.

Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

This position is eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), which provides the opportunity to earn significant incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding your goals.
