Job Summary

We are seeking a Recreational Therapy Intern to join our Activity Therapy Department for a 15-week clinical internship. As a member of our team, you will work under the direct supervision of a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist to develop your skills in clinical assessment, group preparation, program development, and treatment team participation.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of psychoeducational programming in group settings
  • Contribute to the assessment and treatment planning process
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plans
  • Develop and implement recreational therapy programs for individuals and groups
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Recreational Therapy program
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced clinical setting
