As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant with the Good Samaritan Society, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team in providing occupational therapy services to patients in a variety of settings.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with therapy activities and exercises scheduled in a treatment plan, under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
- Provide, monitor, and record therapy services to patients with physical, cognitive, developmental, and psychosocial impairments.
- Select, implement, and make modifications to therapeutic activities and interventions that are consistent with demonstrated competency levels, patient goals, and the requirements of the practice setting and/or state licensure.
- Contribute to the process by exchanging information with and providing documentation to the occupational therapist about the patient's responses to and communications during intervention.
- Responsible for being knowledgeable about the patient's targeted occupational therapy outcomes and for providing information and documentation related to outcome achievement.
- Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
- Licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state(s) of practice.
- Certified as an Occupational Therapy Assistant through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT), when applicable.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment.
