Position Highlights:

  • Full spectrum ENT with a large patient base
  • Four days per week schedule
    • Thirty-six contact hours, 1.5 days in the operating room
    • Two and a half days in the office
    • Schedule is somewhat negotiable
  • Joining a team of four ENTs, one PA-C, three Audiologists, two RNs, three MAs, and two seasoned Surgery Schedulers
  • Average of twenty to twenty-four patients per day
  • Shared hospital call
  • Epic EMR
  • DAX
  • Subspecialties in the department include Head and Neck, Facial Plastics, and Laryngology
  • Subspecialty focus welcome but not required
  • New and fully equipped clinical space with an established referral base; ASC and two procedure rooms on-site
  • Collegial local community ENT groups and excellent state academy with yearly academic meetings

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Treating and managing patients according to standard, usual, and customary methods and techniques.
  • Provides understanding of diagnosis, treatment, therapy, and management of patients according to current standards of care utilizing best practice recommendations.
  • Counsels and educates patients and families.
  • Maintains accurate, complete, concise, and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Communicates effectively and respectfully with physicians, other health professionals, and staff.
  • Coordinates care with multidisciplinary team members.
  • Follows ethical principles regarding patient confidentiality, informed consent, and unanticipated adverse outcomes.
  • Demonstrates the highest level of accountability for professional practice.
  • Maintains effectiveness throughout changing circumstances. Is flexible, resilient, and change-oriented.
  • Participates in organizational and departmental meetings, educational opportunities, committees, and workgroups as necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • A degree in medicine from an accredited school
  • Completion of Otolaryngologist Residency
  • Board eligible or certified
  • Unrestricted license to practice in Washington State
  • Maintain BLS certification

The salary range for this position is $399,516 to $601,667. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
