As an integral part of our Supply Chain Solutions division, the Inventory Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the management of inventory processes and ensuring operational efficiency.

Position Overview

The Inventory Manager is responsible for monitoring incoming and outgoing materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods essential for the warehousing and distribution of products. This role involves providing support related to inventory discrepancies and managing a team of cycle counters and clerks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily inventory costs and assist in achieving the facility's Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Maintain comprehensive reports to track daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs.
  • Develop and implement inventory control systems to meet current and future operational needs.
  • Manage the cycle count program and oversee inventory processes for returns and recycling.
  • Provide support to Operations Supervisors and team members regarding inventory-related issues.
  • Facilitate the hold process for inventory as required.
  • Mentor and evaluate team members, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Ensure effective communication and information sharing during shift meetings.

Additional Duties

  • Enhance customer relationships through effective inventory management.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and inventory management best practices.
  • Experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or distribution environment.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in inventory management within a manufacturing or distribution setting.
  • At least two years of supervisory experience.
