Surgical Services Associate Manager

The Surgical Services Associate Manager is a key member of the HR Recruiting Service team, responsible for providing support and assistance to the Manager for the daily operations of surgical services. This includes the Operating Room, SPU/PACU, and Endoscopy departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Effective management of unit operations, including planning, resource allocation, and staff deployment.
- Assists with recruitment and hiring of staff, conducts performance appraisals, and counsels employees.
- Develops and updates policies, procedures, and standards of care for the units.
- Supervises and assists in the delivery of patient care, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assists in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, prepares for local and inter-regional surveys, and develops orientation plans for new hires.
- Works with educators to develop and mentor preceptors, and assists in the coordination of in-service training on new equipment and procedures.
- Minimum three (3) years of RN clinical experience in OR and/or PACU, L&D, CVL, GI.
- Minimum two (2) years of demonstrated staff leadership or advance nursing practice role.
- Minimum five (5) years of demonstrated knowledge in Surgical Services area of clinical experience.
- Previous leadership experience, CNOR certification, and a Bachelors degree in nursing or related field are preferred.
