Position Overview

Panek Precision, a leading automotive manufacturer renowned for its expertise in CNC and multi-spindle precision machining, is currently in search of a skilled Gage Technician.

The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience and demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

  • Calibration Management: Ensure all gages and testing apparatus are calibrated in accordance with NIST standards.
  • Measurement Reliability: Assess measurement system reliability, analyze results, and communicate findings effectively.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain an organized workspace, manage gage records, and document gages during check-in and check-out processes.
  • Vendor Coordination: Handle vendor interactions for returns and repairs, and ensure proper disposal or quarantine of substandard gages.
  • Quality Data Management: Record, update, and document quality-related data accurately.
  • Production Analysis: Determine production disposition through thorough analysis, data interpretation, and adherence to customer specifications.
  • Quality Assurance Compliance: Follow and enforce quality assurance policies and procedures, and report necessary changes.
  • Inspection Preparation: Prepare for PPAP, setup and start-up, as well as conduct in-process and final audit production inspections.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to team, company, and quality system goals by initiating continuous improvement efforts and collaborating effectively with colleagues across departments.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and team-building skills are essential.
