Laboratory Technician

Job Summary:
As a Laboratory Technician at UL, you will be responsible for the build, setup, and performance of equipment and test setups for clients. This role requires strong technical skills and attention to detail, as well as effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Examine test samples and read blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, measuring instruments, and operational instructions.
Follow test plans and datasheets, recording and explaining test results and completing test reports.
Communicate with customers during setup and operation to ensure proper evaluation.
Operate designated machines and special laboratory equipment.
Read and understand specific test standards and testing technology for scope of responsibility with necessary supervision/support.
Receive instructions from and report data to engineers.
Record observed or calculated data on appropriate UL forms and prepare data sheets and test reports.
Requirements:
Higher Secondary Education plus three years related experience preferred.
Effective communication skills and ability to interact with customers.
Proven ability to be innovative and creative.
Desire to work in a team-oriented environment. Ability to use Microsoft Office suite is a must. Ability to incorporate automation into day-to-day testing.
