Position Overview:

As a Senior Software Development Engineer at Singtel Group, you will take charge of leading engineering teams, fostering technical excellence, and delivering high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment. Your proficiency in full-stack technologies and matrix organizational structures will enable you to steer projects effectively, uphold best practices, and align with the strategic objectives of the organization.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership to engineering teams and stakeholders, ensuring the successful deployment of technology across Agile Tribes and Squads.
  • Play a pivotal role in strategic planning and decision-making, shaping the future direction of the consumer technology stack.
  • Oversee engineering governance and conduct thorough solution/code reviews to guarantee compliance with best practices.
  • Collaborate with various technology stacks within Singtel Group, building strong relationships with squad members, cross-domain peers, and external vendors.
  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of complex projects, engaging in the entire software development lifecycle from analysis and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Work closely with security teams on risk assessments and vulnerability testing.
  • Ensure that technical solutions adhere to company policies, regulatory requirements, and security guidelines.
  • Participate in the selection of tools and technologies, evaluating and creating proof-of-concept models for new technologies and alternative approaches.

Required Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience in web application and/or full-stack development.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in designing and architecting web applications, microservices, and infrastructure.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • In-depth practical experience in development, solution design, and architecture within the digital domain, showcasing a successful track record of end-to-end project delivery.
  • Thorough understanding of IT risk assessment principles and risk management practices, along with a solid awareness of information security and data privacy standards.
  • Experience in automation and building CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, including alerting and monitoring tools.
  • Exceptional analytical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and critical analysis skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Spring Framework.
  • Practical experience with AWS infrastructure or other cloud platforms, along with proficiency in Docker and Kotlin.
