Developmental Specialist Vocational

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Developmental Specialist Vocational to join our team at Monarch (NC). As a key member of our care team, you will work closely with individuals with mental health diagnoses and developmental disabilities to help them achieve their personal goals and dreams.

• Assess each person's hopes, dreams, and desires, and provide supports that facilitate achievement.
• Ensure the rights of each person are protected and promoted at all times.
• Assist individuals in developing advocacy skills, participating in advocacy efforts, and utilizing personal advocates.
• Supervise, educate, and monitor individuals in work settings, including community, vocational workshops, and day supports.
• Maintain a safe working environment by practicing safety procedures.
• Continually educate individuals on required work procedures, facility rules, policies, practices, and their rights.
• Facilitate person-centered, effective, positive relationships using positive approaches that promote self-determination.
• Provide input and recommendations into assessment and planning processes, and development of individual plans.
• Implement person's plan fully, within the requirements of the service definition, and document as required.

• High School Diploma (Required)
• Certifications: Drivers License (Valid) - USA
• Experience working with adults with mental health diagnoses and/or developmental disabilities

Monday-Friday (8:30am-2:30pm)

Target Weekly Hours: 30
