The Opportunity

We're seeking a skilled Front Desk Receptionist to join our team at Four Seasons Hotel Nashville. As a key member of our front office team, you'll be responsible for providing warm and personalized service to our guests, ensuring their stay with us is nothing short of exceptional.

Responsibilities
  • Welcome and register hotel guests, explaining the accommodations and establishing credit or method of payment
  • Check guests out of the hotel, preparing and explaining billing
  • Respond to a wide variety of guest requests by accurately assessing their needs and adding personal recommendations to achieve maximum guest satisfaction
  • Work with guests pre-arrival and in-house to ascertain their preferences and provide insightful recommendations
  • Conduct pre-arrival processes to assist future guests in arranging services, including local tours, dining reservations, shipping packages, and transportation methods
  • Process packages, faxes, messages, and mail in an accurate and timely manner
  • Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible
  • Resolve guest complaints and assist guests in all inquiries related to hotel services, hours of operation, key personnel, in-house events, and directions
  • Respond to all guest requests in an accurate and timely manner, interacting with guests in-person, by phone, Four Seasons chat, and email
  • Utilize various software programs, communicate with internal personnel and departments via radio, internal systems, and phones, and chat with guests via messenger application
  • Concierge system to track all requests and Opera to ensure proper billing
  • Ensure that desk collateral and information for restaurants, wineries, museums, attractions, maps, and other local attractions are updated and current, and establish close contacts with vendors in these areas to provide information, ticketing, and reservations for guests
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by management

Requirements
  • Previous front desk or front office experience, preferably in a luxury environment
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, which may change depending on hotel occupancy
  • Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to constant change within the hotel
  • Previous customer experience and ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Good communication skills, including reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
  • Excellent computer skills, especially Excel proficiency, and knowledge of OPERA (or equivalent PMS) and experience in cashiering
  • Knowledge of the local Nashville area is preferred
