Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations Manager to oversee financial operations for our client's construction projects in the Chicago Metropolitan area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure compliance with standards and deliver insights to leadership.
  • Collaborate with project managers to track budgets, analyze variances, and control costs throughout various project phases.
  • Oversee cash flow to ensure liquidity for operational needs and manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Work closely with senior leadership on long-term financial planning, evaluating new business opportunities, and providing insights for financial strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and establish internal controls.
  • Guide and develop the finance team, fostering a collaborative and solution-oriented culture.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA highly preferred, with a Master's or MBA as a plus.
  • 7+ years in accounting and finance, with 1+ years in leadership roles. Experience in construction accounting and general contracting is strongly preferred.
  • Expertise in construction financials, job costing, and project management software (e.g., Procore, Viewpoint, or Buildertrend), along with advanced Excel skills.
