Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Sales Estimation Specialist to join our dynamic New Unit Sales team at Kelly Generator & Equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform data entry for both new and ongoing sales opportunities.
  • Identify and resolve gaps in specifications and drawings.
  • Communicate with relevant sales engineers for clarification and verify discrepancies through Requests for Information (RFI) when necessary.
  • Manage bid and specification opportunities, providing accurate quotes to contractors.
  • Receive, assess, and log all sales opportunities into our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Handle incoming inquiries related to new unit sales and residential sales, directing other calls as appropriate.
  • Maintain consistent engagement with vendors, offering technical assistance and necessary information.
  • Assist Outside Sales Representatives with various tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience managing a high volume of inbound and outbound calls.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or comparable software.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and related documents.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales methodologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Application, or Power Generation Engineering; or 3-5 years of relevant experience in industrial sales or product training involving electrical equipment, ideally generators, switchgear, or building management systems.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Business-to-Consumer (B2C) sales.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to engage in extended periods of desk work and computer usage.
  • Occasional capability to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds.
