Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Board Certified Behavior Analyst to join our team as a Behavioral Health Specialist - Student Success Advocate. This role requires strong clinical and educational expertise to support individual students and drive academic success.

Responsibilities:
  • Training and Support: Provide training and coaching to teachers and education support staff on functional behavior assessments and behavior intervention plans.
  • Quality Monitoring: Monitor the quality of student academics and behavioral services, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Clinical Expertise: Offer support to ChanceLight staff in effective teaching practices, enabling students to progress according to their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
  • Staff Development: Assess the developmental needs of school staff, design training programs, and facilitate professional growth through conferences, training, and seminars.
  • Crisis Management: Train, certify, and coach school employees in crisis management systems, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Hiring and Onboarding: Assist with the hiring, orientation, and training of behavior specialists, promoting a cohesive and high-performing team.
  • Evidence-Based Curricula: Research and recommend evidence-based curricula for classrooms, meeting department of education requirements.
  • Systems Development: Create and monitor systems tailored to individual students', classrooms', and site-level needs, driving continuous improvement.
  • Meetings and Compliance: Attend and participate in required meetings, including school team meetings and all staff meetings, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality assurance checks at individual, staff, classroom, and site levels, making recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Degree: Master's degree or higher in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Credential: Licensed as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or have the ability to obtain it.
  • Licensure: Licensed in or able to obtain a Special Education credential, preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience working with individuals with severe learning, emotional behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and/or other related disabilities.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis, positive behavior interventions, and supports; effective teaching strategies; classroom management systems; data-based decision-making; and functional analysis/behavior intervention plans.
  • Personal Qualities: High energy, excellent communication skills, ability to think critically and solve problems effectively, and a passion for driving student success.
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
