About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Specialist - Compliance Expert to join our team at Pike Corporation. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safest possible workplace and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular audits and hazard analyses to identify potential risks and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement effective safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on safety procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain safety manuals, procedures, and training programs.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in safety and compliance, with a strong background in OSHA regulations.
  • OSHA 500 certification or other accredited safety certification.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to lead regular safety meetings and training sessions.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance audits in the natural gas and public utility industry.
  • Ability to identify and record proper and improper practices on a natural gas job site.
  • Technical assistance with the investigation of accidents, incidents, injuries, and/or illnesses.

Work Environment

The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical equipment, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites.
