Position: Stress Testing Registered Nurse
Role Overview
The Stress Testing RN is responsible for overseeing Cardiac Exercise Tests, which include Echocardiography, Pharmacological Stress Echocardiography, Exercise Stress Testing, and Stress Radionuclide Cardiac Imaging, all conducted under the direct supervision of a physician. This position requires the RN to document and assess nursing care for patients in the Nuclear Imaging and Cardiology Department, catering to a diverse patient demographic from young adults to seniors.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate patient flow effectively
- Conduct patient assessments
- Supervise cardiac imaging and exercise testing procedures
- Organize and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Execute procedures with precision and ensure the safety of equipment
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and routinely inspect equipment
- Support optimal care for patients undergoing cardiac evaluations
- Encourage education and skill development among colleagues
- Foster a safe working environment
- Assist in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Willingness to travel to various locations as needed
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Current RN licensure in Florida
- At least 1 year of Critical Care experience with advanced EKG interpretation skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification required
- Strong leadership abilities and critical thinking skills
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows
