Job Summary:

MV Transportation is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to provide support, leadership, and direction to assigned operating locations, ensuring the delivery of annual business plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage on-time performance and driver availability daily.
  • Effectively manage the day-to-day operations of the division, including fleet management, route planning, including driver and staff scheduling.
  • Effectively manage all call center staff and functions daily.
  • Effectively work with the division General Manager (GM) to manage customer relations through both direct contact and outreach programs.
  • Participate with GM in all MVT financial procedures pertaining to all aspects within the division, including payroll knowledge.
  • Identify, select, train, and mentor location staff.
  • Effectively and frequently communicate with location staff and support team members.
  • Assist and work with Safety Manager in overseeing safety and training programs, plans, and processes to ensure compliance with company, contract, and regulatory requirements, including successful CHP Audits.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, including DOT regulations and safety standards.
  • Identify and mitigate transportation-related risks, such as accidents, delays, and vehicle damage.
  • Implement, promote, and adhere to company policies and procedures along with GM.

Requirements:

  • One (1) to three (3) years of management experience in a similar sized paratransit environment.
  • The ideal candidate would have experience in scheduling and personnel management and training.
  • Knowledge of company policy assures that the field operator is using consistent measures to assess a driver's activity.
  • Experience managing fast-paced environments.
